Teneligliptin is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It belongs to a group of medicines called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors. It works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, which helps lower the blood glucose levels in the body.
Common side effects of Teneligliptin includes headache, hypoglycaemia in combination with insulin sulphonylurea, nausea, vomiting, nasopharyngitis, stomach pain and upper respiratory tract infections. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems. If you experience severe joint pain or allergic reactions, stop taking the medicine and inform your doctor.
